At Madison Family Care and Wellness Center, we understand how upsetting it can be when you realize you are losing hair. Restore your lost hair with our platelet-rich plasma therapy or PRP.

What is PRP?

PRP is a non-surgical option for men and women patients who want to stimulate hair growth. The procedure is removing a sample of your own blood and injecting it into the problem area. PRP contains platelet cells which stimulate stem cell growth and regeneration.

How Does PRP Hair Regrowth Work?

First a local anesthetic is applied to numb the treatment area of the scalp. Then a series of ACell, PRP and nutrient injections are administered to the treatment area. The procedure last about 90 minutes. Ibuprofen can be taken for any pain. It is normal for some mild swelling to be seen on the forehead 1-2 days after the injection procedure. Swelling will resolve within 48 hours without any downtime.
